June Flying By

I can’t believe June is half over already. We had our Summer Kickoff “One World, Many Stories” and Donna and I were in Mexico, doing toss the ring on the sombrero. This is Donna with her grandkids.

Barbara, Lisa and I spent a weekend in Baton Rouge. We went to the Temple, out to eat, and then to Stake Conference. It was nice. Driving over, it was amazing to see how high the water was in the Basin.

On the home front, I've been working out every morning and I have literally read a book a day so far this month :-) It's been great!

On the work front, the State Library got a grant to give each Parish 10 laptops to circulate, so we had training on them this week and today I did a Facebook Workshop for adults.

I hope everyone's enjoying their summer! Next, I'm off to Idaho for my family reunion tomorrow!!!!

A Year Later...

I was going through my things on the computer and realized that I haven’t posted to my blog since last summer! (Once school and Seminary started back up, I just never had time to stop and write. ) Well, I now have more time on my hands…Monday was the last day of Seminary!

A quick overview of the last 9 months…

So, last I wrote is when Tedi came to visit me at the beginning of August. Well, Elyse also came out to visit me at the end of August.

I spent Thanksgiving in Nauvoo with my friends, the Davis’,
Over Christmas Break I went with the YSA to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. It was an amazing experience.

Then, I got to go home to Utah to celebrate M's 21st Birthday and Christmas (it was weird to go to the new house, but I like it).

At the beginning of the year, I set up my own computer lab at the library and am now teaching computer classes once a week.

We had Seminary Graduation the same weekend they opened the spillway to divert the rising water from the Mississippi. Crossing into Baton Rouge, the water had already reached the top of the levees. The Atchafalaya was up to 21 ft. last weekend.

I plan on spending my summer working out, reading books, and going to see my family in Island Park...I can't wait!
